It's Friday at 6:30 pm! And this is post #2 for the day!
Thursday was spent on the island of Henzajima with Agena Sensei. We were planning and preparing for a cooking class next Friday. The emphasis however was preparing for outreach. Agena Sensei wants to plant a church in Henzajima, his hometown. This would also be the first church on the island of about 1,400 people.
Friday (today) was spent planning, preparing, and shopping for various activities. Today went to the 100 Yen store (the Japanese equivalent of the 99 cent only store). There is so much good stuff there! hehehe...So now we are back here at Agena Sensei's church preparing for a preschool summer festival that will be held tomorrow.
Prayer requests...
-Adjusting to Japan: We, as a team are still adjusting to the food, culture, weather, and way of life. So far, its been a slow process, but we are getting there.
-Strength and energy: So far, we have had a lot of face time with non-Christians. Next week is looking pretty intense. Sunday Matt is scheduled to speak 3 times then once almost everyday after that. Virginia is sharing her testimony 3 times Sunday. And Janet and Britt are sharing their testimonies as well. Once the weekend comes, its basically non-stop from there until the 20th. =]
Thats about it for now! Pictures to come soon [hopefully]!!!!!
in Christ,
Kevin
